Anthony Bourdain Suicide
Celebrity Chef, writer, and travel show host, Anthony Bourdain, has died of an apparent suicide in his hotel room while filming an episode of his hit TV series “Parts Unknown” in Strasbourg, France. His career as a chef began in the 90s when he became executive chef of Brasserie Les Halles in Manhattan. Shortly after, he cultivated his signature “bad-boy chef” persona as a writer and celebrity after publishing “Kitchen Confidential,” a tell-all about the mysterious underbelly of the culinary world. His easy-going demeanor was uniquely disarming, helping to make him a top notch journalist of global culture and cuisine. Anthony Bourdain was 61 years old. This map depicts the 80 countries Anthony Bourdain visited during his television series. Click on the map to learn more.
