Russia
Tensions Rise

On September 14th, Russia began it’s annual Zapad military exercises with Belarus. Every year, the Russian military conducts war drills along its various borders with a maximum of 13,000 troops. NATO leaders’ suspicions have grown as they fear the war exercises are used to prepare for offensive war operations. This past Monday, Sweden, France, and the U.S. joined forces to begin their three-week long military exercise in the Baltic region.
