United States
Airport Power Outage
Sunday afternoon, a fire in an underground electric facility caused an 11-hour power outage at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, the busiest airport in the world.  This power outage struck just before the start of the holiday travel season and caused thousands of flight cancellations.  Delta Airlines alone, with it’s largest hub in Atlanta, cancelled over 900 flights on Sunday and another 300 on Monday. Power is restored in the airport but major travel delays are expected ahead.

Pakistan
Church Attack
In the city of Quetta, in the Baluchistan region of Pakistan, a Methodist church was the site of terror attack before the start of Christmas services.  At least 9 people were reported dead and another 50 injured after attackers released fire into the hundreds of church goers before setting off a bomb. ISIS has claimed responsibility for the attack and police are searching for two accomplices who escaped.  Given its geographic proximity to Iran and Afghanistan, the Baluchistan region has been a hot bed for terror groups such as Al-Qaeda and Taliban.
