No More Climbing
Climbing on Australia’s world famous landmark Uluru, formerly known as Ayers Rock, will be banned starting on October 26, 2019. The board members of Uluru – Kata Tjuta National Park, which manages the site, voted unanimously to ban climbing because of indigenous sensitivities. Uluru is considered sacred to the region’s indigenous Anangu people.
