Do you live in New York City, have visited NYC, or have dreams of traveling there? Have you ever wondered how many park properties New York City has? If so, this map is for you! We created this map with the intention of enabling the viewer to take note of the distribution of the different varieties of parks that New York City subdivides its parkland into. These park properties span across all five boroughs; Manhattan, Brooklyn, Staten Island, the Bronx, and Queens. Take note that while each type of park property is not evenly distributed across each borough, there is still a multitude of each different kind dispersed throughout each individual borough.
New York City clearly has a lot to offer, from recreational fields/courts, to nature reserves and beyond, New York City has something for everyone. Take advantage of the beautiful summer weather by going outside and exploring our concrete or (not so concrete) jungle!
